Vanessia Starling Davis established Starpoint Notary Services to provide professional notary services, loan signing services and legal document preparation services to the Central Florida community.  We are your premier mobile notary public service in the area.  We are NNA certified, licensed, insured, bonded and all our agents have completed a thorough background check, so you know you’re in good hands when you work with us.

A notary public is a person commissioned to serve the public as a neutral witness. A notary performs notarial acts that are allowed or required by law.

A notary is a verifier, an authenticator, an impartial agent for the state, a public recorder of acts, and an unbiased, official witness.

Florida Enhanced Life Estate Deed is a form of deed that is used to automatically transfer ownership of real estate in Florida to others upon the death of the owner.

A Florida Lady Bird Deed A.K.A. Enhanced Life Estate Deed essentially allows a person to automatically transfer their property upon death inexpensively and without probate.  A lady bird deed also lets the current property owner use and control the property during the owner’s lifetime.  The property automatically transfers upon death to designated beneficiaries.

This varies by State Law.  By Florida law, the maximum fee allowed for a notarization is $10 per document and includes:

  • Receiving evidence of the signer’s identity,
  • Administering an oath or affirmation (if applicable)
  • Applying the signature, notarial certificate, and stamp of the notary to the document.

Additional fees for mobile service and recording fees. 

$25.00 – Travel Fee for 1 to 10 miles

$35.00 – Travel Fee for 11 to 20 miles

$50.00 – Travel Fee for 21 to 30 miles

Recording fees for Deeds is based on the county recording fees.

Acceptable forms of ID include the following photo IDs:

U.S. State Issued Driver’s License, U.S. Passport Book, U.S. Passport Card, Certificate of U.S. Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization, Foreign Passport, and Military ID

A Notary Signing Agent is a Notary who has been trained to handle loan documents.  Lenders and title companies hire Signing Agents as independent contractors to assist in the last step of the loan process.

 

Of course! We are a mobile notary service provider. We can and will meet you anywhere of your choosing.

No. Notaries are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of documents they notarize. Notaries certify the identity of signers. The signers are responsible for the content of the documents.

As a pro se party, you have a constitutional right to access the Florida courts, even if you cannot afford an attorney or choose not to hire one.

We fill a need in the middle ground – assisting people who are unable or unwilling to pay steep attorney’s fees but also need some guidance about completing legal forms and finding information.
